I am an Italian designer, director and photographer living in Manhattan Beach, CA. 

As creative director and founder of METAphrenie, an award-winning motion-graphics and live-action studio that produces advertising and broadcast media for international entertainment and sports brands, for 20+ years I have been meticulously constructing images that capture the spirit of place without relying on words.

I bring the same sense of atmospheric urgency to my still photography. 

Photography gives me the opportunity to crystallize a specific feeling from a particular setting so viewers can later tap into the ambience of a faraway location — or, gain a new perspective on the familiar.

My style has been called “cinematic” because I am always in search of ways to communicate the drama of each environment I shoot, much like wide shots establish a film’s mood. Because of this deliberate composition, my images aim to convey the same scope of magnitude that I felt while on location.

By escaping the confines of commercial creativity and expressing my vision of the open, vibrant world around me, I hope to share this feeling of spacious freedom with others.
